November 27  2016

Dear Winter Village Friends,

I hope you are all having a nice Thanksgiving weekend.   The Falling Waters Music Camp is now on January 27 – 29, 2017, weekend before the Super Bowl  and when we have held Winter Village during the past 7 years.  Our lineup of teachers is nearly complete and stellar this year.  The workshop descriptions are also nearly complete and described on the web site.  We just added Mark Mazengarb as a guitar instructor and Loren & Mark will do an opening concert on Thursday evening, January 26.  Tickets will be available soon.

As you probably know, the Winter Village Music Festival will  be held on March 2 – 5, 2017, two weeks before St. Patrick’s Day and this year all events will be held at La Tourelle.  We are introducing a taste of celtic music this year, by hiring the Jeremy Kittel Trio. Jeremy is a great fiddler, best known for his celtic fiddling and also an accomplished jazz and bluegrass player.  Two other headliners include the Barefoot Movement and the 10 String Symphony.  Host band Paris Texas featuring Bobby Henry will be back, and our friends from downstate Too Blue will be performing their eclectic mix of bluegrass, swing, and originals.  Tickets for Winter Village will be on sale in mid-December.

Thanks for your support over the years and feel free to email your questions and comments..
